So, tomorrow I'm doing YAYOG basic ladders, upper body for the 2nd time. (I'm doing it twice a week rather than the four times a week suggested). When I did it last week, afterwards, it was apparent that my warm up wasn't really suitable as I had about 3 days of soreness in my right tri, to the point where I struggled to raise my arm to my mouth.
I'm wondering if a warm up from CLX would be useful for this workout, or if anyone has got any suggestions.
The exercises I will be doing in the prog are push ups, tricep dips, let me ins (shoulder exercise, I think) and let me ups (lying down, pull ups).
Ps, I always drink plenty of water throughout the day and although I can use NSAID gel sparingly, I can't take it in tablet form,

Windmills are good for warming up the upper body. However it's entirely possible that the pain wasn't from not properly stretching, but more so because you tried a new exercise. Your muscles will get use to the motion/stress and it will get better.
