Hi

I have seen the fitbits out there.

Do you recommend them?

    You'll get much better advice if you can bother to tell people what kind of exercise you're looking to track, and stuff like that.

    Steps (daily), HR bpm, sleep pattern.

    I just meant really, if people find them useful that's all.

    If you're only using it for walking, that's what it's good at. Some people find them motivational but not everybody, a lot of people pay $150 and then ignore them. Heart rate isn't really useful for walking or for finding out how many calories you've burned walking. On top of that, Fitbit's HRM isn't very accurate especially for elevated heart rates, nor can it be used with other exercise equipment. That's a big part of why Beth returned hers. Not useful on the elliptical, for example.
