My name is Toni and I am a 45 year old mum of 3 children aged 23, 20 and 15. I have 25kg to lose, over the past 14 years it's been a real struggle. Not to lose the weight, but to keep it off! I've lost the weight multiple times, but maintaining the loss hasn't been successful.....and I think over the recent years, I have been so worried about gaining all the weight back, that I haven't tried hard to lose the weight. Over the last year, I've been between 83kg and 90kg. This time though I am going to do things differently. I know I cannot continue to go back to my bad habits, I have to change my lifestyle. I am taking it 5kg at a time....breaking down my big goal into mini goals, and making changes in my life so that once I do reach goal, I'll be able to maintain my loss and live the life of an active, healthy and happier woman!

Good luck, Toni! Your post really spoke to me because I've been losing and gaining the same 10-20 pounds since my kids were small.

I'm Felecia, a 55 y.o. mom of three: a 17 y.o. and 14 y.o. twins. I can be very motivated when it comes to losing weight, but keeping it off always seems such a struggle--even when I'm aware of my portion sizes increasing and my exercise decreasing. I somehow allow myself to let it happen, and then find I'm asking myself how and why I let it happen. I'm currently hovering around 86kg and am hoping to get down to about 67kg by this time next year (if not sooner). What I hope will make a difference for me is connecting with people for support and encouragement to help me stay on track when I'm inclined to get slack . . .

I've had success with WW a few times in the past but I after a while I get tired of thinking in points, and I also get tired of paying. I also used to love CalorieCount.com, but that shut down earlier this year. Hoping to find a nice supportive community here at MFP, and mostly hoping to learn to keep it together as I approach my weight-loss goals.
