Not saying it's dangerous. Just letting her know that I haven't done it and I'm still losing weight. If she's still eating 25-35 a day with all the cutting of carbs she's already doing, she shouldn't get discouraged.
My post was made more with the comments in mind about "unless you have a medical condition" that pop up a lot around this topic. I didn't see anything wrong with your post. I just can never understand this need to give people the disclaimer that isn't necessary. Maybe it isn't, but its still a valid, healthy way of eating.2 -

If you are not getting your energy from carbs you have to get your energy from good fats - preferably from non gmo / antibiotic / growth hormone / etc. sources. Fat becomes your fuel if you are low carb. My faves if I am under include coconut oil, peanut butter, whole fat butter. Sometimes I'll take a swing of good olive oil. Protein is not really an energy source - you use it to build muscle mass not burn it.1

I don't personally eat low carb but I did at one point... not something I could sustain for the length of time I needed to get the weight off; not to mention it was completely unnecessary. Best of luck with your goals!1

Nope I like fruits and berries.1

While technically true - protein also helps to satiate hunger and curb cravings that lead people to make food choices they may not want to. Protein is a HUGE component of any diet, hence when it's a MACROnutrient and not a micro. But unlike other macro nutrients the body doesn't really 'store' protein like it does fat and carbs so when your body runs out you need to put more in, although you don't need to just eat protein protein protein - your body can only absorb so much of it but it's still really important to have in a diet.

So I don't eat the ice cream, just put it on the app to get my calories up0

I don't understand... what is the point of logging something you don't eat?

You have to have 1000 calories to close your dairy1

She wants to finish out her daily diary without getting the system notice that she is under eating. Games........1 -
When I was cutting carbs, I stalled out at about 20g-30g net carbs daily because of low carb veggies, nuts, peanuts, peanut butter, and sauces adding up. To cut back further, I ultimately stopped eating almost all plant products (except coffee and some small amounts of sauces and seasonings). I can stay below 10g most days doing that.1

Hmm, well, 1. You don't have to close out your diary... the only gain of doing so that I can tell is it gives an estimate of how fast you may (or may not lose weight). 2. Does it matter if the app tells you that you are losing weight too fast? It's an app, not a doctor...
It seems like an odd move to me, and something that will only serve to skew your numbers.0 -
Protein is not really an energy source - you use it to build muscle mass not burn it.
Protein converts to glucose through gluconeogenesis. While net carbs become glucose at nearly 100% efficiency, protein converts at approximately 58%... so it is not nearly as efficient as carbs.
ETA: My point is that protein is still an energy source.2 -

You don't have to close it. Or you can ignore the message, which does say there are exceptions. I'd keep it honest in case you want to show it to a doctor at some point, and so you have a good record of actual calories.
That said, did you see my message before about increasing calories and eating more fat?
Are you under a doctor's supervision? If not (or even if so), I do recommend going to the low carb group and getting advice from those doing the way of eating you seem to be doing.3 -

Well, that's healthy.
Unless there's a medical reason for such a low caloric intake AND you're being supervised/cared for by a doctor this isn't healthy. You can lose weight with moderation you just have to have the will power and the want to do it. If you don't want to do it then you won't until you're ready.0 -
OP i never click on "complete this entry", the only thing that does is post on your newsfeed and give you the weight loss prediction, which has never been accurate for me, not completing your diary still saves your day.
I'm not condoning eating only 1000 calories though... I don't see the point of adding foods you're not even eating, this will just serve to give you an inaccurate overall picture. If you're going to stick with low carb, then eat more fat!1 -
