Hey, i'm from israel and I started using the app. but it's hard for me to find simple food items because of the brands. I'm looking for a sausage for example because we did BBQ, but i see a lot of different sausages from different brands and stores. how can i make this easiyer and just find average simple sausage?

You can not hide the brand/restaurant field from displaying. By definition, sausage is not a very simple food item, since it can contain multiple cuts of meat.

Search for the type of meat followed by the word sausage; such as "beef sausage" or "turkey sausage" or "chicken sausage" or "pork sausage" (if so inclined).

thank you. the problem was that i tried to write "sausage" and got lof of irrelevant options due to my location (we have different brands here). your solution is good, but i found out that the site has a lot of items in my language and brands from my country, i just need to write their name in Hebrew instead of English.
    thank you for you answer.

You could add your own food items with the information on the package.

I suggest using the brand you actually ate. You can compare it to the packaging info.
Different sausages can vary SO much in calories, so unless you are brand (and location) specific, you won't know how much you are eating. This might lead to you not losing weight.
