Has anyone ever had their calves bruised after running?

If I get a rockin' workout, sometimes my thighs feel bruised, but there are no visible bruises? :grumble: So, I have absolutely nothing to offer, I am curious to hear other responses.

Are they tender like a bruise or actually have bruising visible on them, like a blue/purple colour?

straight up black and blue! like some one beat me. haha i even went to the doctor because it freaked me out & all they did was blood work..which all came back normal..& basically said "its nothing to worry about" but im just curious if others have experienced this

    I get that a lot.
They don't hurt but there is definite black and blueness.
I believe it is because running is traumatic for your legs and it breaks the blood vessels.
Are you taking rest days in between?

If resting from running counts as a jog/walk then yes...but a full day...no, there is no way i can go a day without some sort of light jogging/walking..i would literally go insane

i used to bruise really easily, now with losing some weight, getting in better shape and eating better (well, i try ) it's gotten a lot better.
but the only bruises i get from running, is when i trip over my own feet
