Im being told by a trainer: Protein 45% Carbs 35% Fat 20%
Is this the best percentages to use for FAT LOSS?
Im 185. Trainer said to take in 1850 Calories. That seems like ALOT. I had My fitnesspal set to 1200 cal and 40% protein, 30% carbs, and 30% fat.
HELP!!!

Macros are probably personal preference. I prefer a lot more fat than some people.
Is 1200 what MFP told you or did you lower it to that? Are you eating exercise calories? How old and active are you? Male or female?1 -
female 48 Trying to workout 3 times a week. will be starting a 30 day bootcamp soon. I forget how I came up with 1200. lol0

That's a lot of protein. I prefer more fat, too.
Why do you think 1850 is too much? How tall are you? If you are working out and have a job or other physical requirments (like kids or school) that isn't so many calories. I eat that much and I'm in my 60s, retired and single and living the lazy life of a condo dweller.1
