Tackling the next 10...

I am Swiss, currently back on the home turf, but have lived all over the world. Unfortunately I also love the cuisines from around the world, few things I won't eat... Would call myself a foodie and the heavy travelling and opportunities to taste different great food has made it quite hard to lose weight as much as I'd like to.
I have started logging my food intake and exercise on MyFitnesspal around 1.5 years ago and lost dropped from 86.9 to 77.4 kg currently (192 to 170lbs). I am a shorty and still way too heavy, but feel better already. Goal is around 62kg (136lbs) which was my happiest weight and is still far from skinny.
I have recently dropped a few kg spending 2 months on a sailboat, with food rationed somewhat. Made me realize I don't really need to go to a specific diet (low carb or similar) to lose weight, it really is about calorie intake. A guy on the ship actually gained weight - he had been on a low carb diet and unlike the rest of us who all lost weight, his body could not process carbs anymore and he put on a lot. Cautionary tale maybe for some of those diet formulas.
My focus is on eating healthy, snacking less (one of my weaknesses), controlling binges at night. Most likely to lose it in the evening, raiding the fridge or ordering take out. For breakfast I am having oatmeal and linseed with fruit most mornings now - very high in fibre and good carbs. Lunch and dinner varies depending on where I am and whether I have the choice of what to eat. Trying to offset with the other meal if I have a heavier lunch or know likely heavier dinner. MyFitnesspal really helps to see how many calories I can still "afford" to spend.
Exercise wise, I am into yoga and have started a body weight circuit around 3x a week. Also try to bike more and walk a fair bit. Want to tighten up along with losing weight to avoid getting flabby.
So far the journey has been slow and I need more motivation to progress faster than to date. I am feeling much better now with almost 10kg less than I started out and look better too. Sharper facial features, less belly and less cms all over.
