Sugar addict? Guilty as charged

Hi everyone! I'm 21 and sugar is my weakness. I feel like I need it all the time. I'm looking for people to help keep me motivated and accountable! Together and help from God I know we can do this! Feel free to add me

if sugar is your weakness then reduce your intake of it to a point where you are meeting calorie goals, and it is not crowding out other nutrients.
However, please be aware that sugar, by itself, is not addictive and has never been proven to be addictive. Sugar can be part of an overall healthy diet that is meeting calorie, micro, and macro goals.
Remember, there are no bad foods, just bad diets.1 -

I understand completely! It's wired into us from when we are babies (mother's milk is sweet!). My strategy is to allow myself a little bit, but don't keep sweets around the house - if it's there I will eat it! Logging helps me keep it under control because I have to decide: would I rather have something nutritious and filling or empty calories?

Sugar is my weakness too! I love the sweet stuff. Instead of fighting it, I just plan a dessert into my daily calories everyday (usually around 250-300 calories of my 1700). I even have a "Dessert" section in my diary.
By doing this, I gave up the struggle and just enjoy my sweet treat each evening. Now, I won't lie, over the course I have given up the pint of Ben & Jerry's and instead have a pint of Halo Top (which gets me protein and fiber too!).
In other words, if you know you love sweet things, don't deprive yourself. Instead, just find a way to fit it into your day. It tastes so much better when you know you are able to have it without wrecking your progress.3 -
