Probably just looking for an excuse but.... my fats are often too high but I am often told it is the good rather than bad fat...does this make a difference or is a fat a fat a fat?
yes there is a difference. the only bad fat is trans fat. you should get a good variety of the others in ur diet. dont listen to the media madness-fish oil does not cause cancer-0 -
i personally like term flexible dieting rather than iifym.
Hi - i think i've heard of that "flexitarian" right? Could you explain?
You probably could do that, but why would you when chicken and broccoli is are cheaper?
Did you read what IIFYM is really supposed to be? Your definition of flexible dieting is exacting the same as IIFYM in the OP.
But the thing is, you are trying to meet your macro targets. But I do agree that people do take it too literally without applying the underlying concept that it is not "Eat anything as long as it fits your macros'.0 -

You said "yes. let us just get rid of the term if it fit ur macros. some people take it too literally. "
I agree too... because I have a big problem with the perception of what this means to me. I think some people can go over the top and say heyyyyyy i can have all this food, and be misusing the original intent. We gotta be knowledgeable and reasonable in our food choices. The scale will tell the truth! the inches lost or not lost will also tell the truth.0 -
This all sounds very interesting. Until I read this post, I had never heard of this before. Maybe I have been stuck in a hole....But I plan on doing more research after reading this. Thanks!0
