Updating photo ID?

At what point do you get a new driver's license because the picture doesn't look like you anymore? I know I won't wait 3 years until my current one expires, but how close to goal did you wait? Lost 100 lbs, 75 to go.

till it runs out and I have to renew it - which could be a while, they last 10 years here.

Nobody looks at my drivers licence except briefly as ID - I dont care what the little photo looks like.
Its only a head and shoulders shot anyway.

I still haven't updated mine and that picture was about 140 pounds ago.

No one actually commented on mine until I was down about 95 pounds out of 100. Then the TSA person at a small airport asked me about it, but not in a challenging way. I had no problem actually using the ID. I'll be getting a new one in a few months anyway, since I'm moving to a new state.

We're required to get a new picture every renewal (4 years). I wouldn't replace my license just for a picture, that's too much money.

We have to pay for changes here, both my drivers license and passport are from when i was almost 400lb. They will stay that way until i have to renew them.

On times ive had to show them ive had questions about the obvious difference in size but theyve accepted it when i tell them ive lost alot of weight and show them my start pic on my phone

TSA has to invent something to do.

I don't update any of my ID until it's set to expire.

I went in and paid the $10 to have my picture updated when I hit 135lbs lost. Partly to celebrate hitting my goal weight and partly because I was afraid I was unrecognizable. It was almost due to be renewed anyway.

I did mine on renewal. I think it's about every 5 years and it just so happened to fall at the right time. Technically if your appearance changes by more than 50lbs I think it's required but it's been so long I don't remember if that was true or just something I heard haha. I know for passports it is!

As others have mentioned, TSA has noticed. They don't give me any hassle about needing to change my photo. They simply say, "you've lost weight". I say, "yes" and move on.
