Starting again

Hello,
I did have another account but after much messing around i decided to start from the beggining.
I am two weeks into my health and fitness plan.
I decided to join slimming world as I need support with my eating plan. I thought if If i log on here to the eventually I can purely focus on the calories and eating for my fitness goals but i suppose i have start somewhere. I need to build up the habit and stickability.
I lost 5.5llb in my first week and i weigh tomorrow so hopefully i will get to half a stone.
My starting weight was 11 stone 8lb and my goal weight is 9 stone. So not massive amounts!
I have also got my backside into gear with the gym. I am aiming to just build up the habit of going and to build up my general fitness. I have been going to half hour boot camp classes. I have managed 2 classes a week for the last two weeks. I will eventually get it to 3x per week and then switch to lifting.
The guy who runs the bootcamp classes is also a PT and suggested I lift to lose weight. I do eventually want to lift but I need to first build up my confidence. I thought the best way to do this is to start small. I am thinking for the first 6 weeks just aim to lose as much weight as I can and to get my cardiovascular fitness up as much as I can. Then see where I am and make new goals for the next 6 weeks.
The PT has offered to do me a lifting plan when I am ready. I will do this but I want it to be around the main lifts (bench, deadlift, pushpress, squat etc) and I want to lift heavy. I won't be able to do this on a slimming world eating plan so I will have to wait until I am more capable of following something without external motivation.
In summary my 6 weeks goals are
- Follow an eating plan the best I can
- Lose 15lb
- Build up the habit of going to the gym by picking the same days and going on these days (Tuesday and Friday currently)
- Build up my cardiovascular fitness by eventually managing a week of 3 boot camp classes (maybe week 6?)
Sorry for the ramble but I need to get my thoughts written down!

Wow! I started again this week after a couple of years away. I was 10 stone 9lb and I weighed in today at 10 stone 7lb. I'm very happy with this. Started a bit of running and watching what I eat as I was eating so much rubbish! Using mfp, it's made me realise how bad I got.
I will start lifting at some point but I find it difficult to do much due to my son. I can't get to the gym at the moment so running will have to do until he's a bit older0 -
Cool! well good luck to you I am just trying to stick with it!!0

If you can't lift because of slimming world, how little are you eating?
I'd definitely take up the pts offer. This can help you avoid losing muscle, which low calorie diets do.
If you still decide to not lift, at least learn as much about it as possible. Practice form using a broomstick, etc.0
