Is this normal?

I've lost 12lbs in 29 days and I feel great. My whole body feels much flatter, I can notice the weight loss thankfully. I still want to lose another 40lbs. Today I noticed these random white streaks/marks on the left side of my stomach. I guess they are stretch marks, but I thought they are usually a pink/red colour and I also thought they were more common in women. Is there a reason for getting these when I've lost weight? What could the reason be? I'm 5'10 and 190lbs.

The only reason they're considered 'more common' in women is because our bodies are called upon to do a lot of shifting during pregnancy Anyone can get stretchmarks. My oldest son has horizontal stretchmarks on his back from a massive vertical growth spurt! You may have had them before and just not noticed. White typically means they're not new.1
