Discomfort After & During Weight Loss

I'm having a lot of trouble with the extra skin on my tummy causing discomfort since I've lost so much weight. The friction is causing some discomfort and I hate it! (Eventually I WILL need surgery as I've already lost over 150 lbs, and that was all after carrying an 11 lb baby, leaving my stomach VERY stretched out!) It's my understanding there's very few insurances that will cover a tummy tuck after weight loss sooooo.... What are my options for relief?

Dry thoroughly after showering (use a hair dryer) and apply a medicated powder once everything is dry. Compression garments to keep things in place. Medical approval can be difficult to get but not impossible. If you're having trouble with rashes or infections it's worth a try. Otherwise, start saving for it now and maybe when it's time you'll have a nice chunk of change to put toward surgery yourself! Congrats on your weight loss2

I guess I thought medical approval was darn near impossible!0

Start going to the doctor for your rash and discomfort. You need to have documentation for it. Because the insurance company needs to see that you have been struggling with for a while.2
