So I have been recently doing 10-30 minutes of weight lifting different muscle group every day and started thinking to myself. Would it be better to lose weight first then build muscle. I have been very active and plan and keep being active I am just wondering if I should cut weight lifting until I achieve my goal weight.

Lifting is always helpful. Is it harder to build muscle while you're eating at a deficit and trying to lose weight? Yes. But the flipside is that when you're eating at a deficit and losing fat, you're also losing muscle. Strength training and lifting weights during your weight loss helps to make sure you lose as little muscle as possible while you're losing weight. So absolutely keep lifting. If you wait to start a lifting program until after you're done losing weight, you'll be starting with less muscle than before you started your diet.3

Keep lifting. If you're around 30% body fat or above then your body will likely be able to build muscle and lose fat at the same time and the higher your muscle mass, the more calories you'll burn at rest. Even if you're lower than 30% body fat, it's important to maintain the muscle that you currently have for the same reason. So keep at it!2
