Hello everyone...
For various reasons, I am badly underweight. I eat one meal a day. I know this isn't good, and it's not by choice. Rather than an eating disorder, the not eating is a by product of the depression.
Anyway, bottom line is I need to get physically healthy, and fast. I have HUGE issues with getting motivated and staying on track with plans, so if there is anyone out there who wants to help a skinny dweeb, please get at me

Try small snacking throughout the day so that the calories add up over time. Also, snack on higher calorie things such as peanut butter... or avocado... etc.2

You won't make any health changes "fast". Do a bit at a time, take the pressure off yourself. There are a lot of things you can eat that have huge calories in a small portion. Nut butters, oil and butter to cook with, avocados, anything high fat. If you're dealing with depression I assume you're seeing a counsellor. If not, you need to - talk to them about your eating also - and your attitude to food. I've never tried to gain weight, I used to be a comfort eater but the reverse principals are the same, you need to eat more than you burn. But you know that. Do a bit at a time, you'll get there.1

Lol I see the 420 in your name. How do you not eat a lot due to the munchies?
You definitely need to start eatting more. Try to find a hobby that helps with your depression. Getting into fitness is always a good idea. Find a program that you enjoy. But either way, you'll need to push yourself. No pain, no gain.
What helps me with my depression is a natural herb called kratom.
Here is a link with info on it:

Also, maybe read some self help books. A book I enjoyed is called "the subtle art of not giving a f***" by Mark Manson. Check it out on the Google play books.
The reason I suggest the self help books is that you need to have some confidence in yourself. You shouldn't look at yourself as a dweb. You are what you believe yourself to be. So start believing and have faith in being the person you WANT to be. The you that would make you happy. Make the most out of today to create a better tomorrow by eatting more meals throughout the day and exercising daily.
Feel free to add me for tips or motivation/support
Best of luck,

I do not agree that 'getting into fitness' is a great idea for someone who is underweight. Developing healthy eating habits and gaining a little weight first would be a good idea. There's always the danger of 'fitness' becoming a distraction to the point of obsession, and making it impossible to gain weight due to burning too much energy - I mean if OP is underweight now, burning more calories is not going to help.
