If it's water retention from your hormones/period, it'll likely stick around for several days. Have patience and read this thread: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10084670/it-is-unlikely-that-you-will-lose-weight-consistently-i-e-weight-loss-is-not-linear3

No reason to worry. Your weight has fluctuated your whole life. It will continue to fluctuate for the rest of your life. It's how your body works. Whether gaining, losing, or maintaining.
Time and Trend. They're your friends.5 -
I would recommend a weight-trend tracking app. I use Trendweight.com. Weight trend apps can smooth out all of the fluctuations and give you a better idea of what's happening with your weight.
I generally gain a few pounds of water weight around my period and then drop most of it the next week. But more importantly: weight loss is not linear. Your weight will go up and down over the course of a day/week/month.0 -
Periods and lack of sleep are huge factors in water weight, so make sure you're getting around 7-8 hours of sleep and just wait until your period passes and see how you feel!
Depending on your workouts you could also be gaining some muscle mass, which is also nothing to worry about.0 -
Weight can fluctuate up and down ~5lbs from day to day. Water retention, poop, TotM, all sorts of things go on "behind the scenes".
Weigh yourself every day (or week - whatever you're comfortable with) and use an app (Libra - Android/Happy Scale - Apple) to see the trends. As long as the trendline is slowly going downwards, you're doing fine. Fluctuations are totally normal.1
