Hello all,

My name is Eddie and I'm 49 years old. I live in South Florida.

I have tried it all. Atkins, Nutrisystems, cabbage, SOBE, low fat, let's do lunch, Phen-Phen, even Susan Powter's "Stop the Insanity." Always having initial success only to gain the weight back and then some. The and then some has creeped up quite a bit over the years. I have lots of work to do from here. Ultimately, all these different diet options take you to the same place. Eat less calories and exercise. So that's what I'm trying to do. I've been tracking for 9 days now. I hired a personal trainer to help me with exercising. I am lazy when it comes to that. And I'm happy to report an 8 lbs loss since I started tracking.

Happy to be part of the community.

Welcome! I'm in FL too (Central). yes, most diets do take you to the same concept of eat less, move more. For me, counting calories isn't a diet, it's a lifestyle change. I've failed at all those diets but with MFP, I can sustain a healthy way of life. Once the pounds come off, you shift into maintenance and keep them off for good. Welcome again and add me if you'd like!
