Lose weight and gain glutes?

Hey there (:
Kind of new here. Currently I'm losing weight. I started off at 240 (appox 5 weeks ago) to my current weight at 216. Goal weight was 130. Now it's just a happier and healthier me. I cut back on FAsT food & much more. Really changing my diet for the heahltier. I'm started hitting my exercise harder than ever. Focusing on my glutes, hamstrings, and quadriceps- but is it possible to gain muscles in those areas while continuing to lose weight?
Btw any tips on helping me are welcome & appreciated

Because of your weight and the fact that you're new to lifting you're in a rare spot where you may actually be able to gain a little muscle while being at a deficit (yay!). I would suggest that you look into your diet to ensure that you're getting enough protein 0.6-0.8g / lb of body weight and get on a structured lifting program. Since you're talking about your legs and bum muscles I would suggest strong curves. There's lots of glute focused programming and a lot of people have liked the program.2

If by chance you did gain muscle it wouldn't be c substantial enough to really notice.
Training is important while in a deficit as it helps retain muscle in which it one might think they are gaining where actually they are losing fat and revealing muscle.
If one doesn't train, more muscle mass would be loss while cutting weight.2 -
@Chieflrg I'm going to a dietitian about every 2 weeks. They claim I've gain 2%. lol I don't expect to really see that 2% of muscle any time soon0

Those machines arent overly accurate and they reflect lean body mass, which is everything not fat. So if you have had modifications to glycogen, water or whatever it can effect that reading.
Just keep working and progress will come.3
