Resting from working out?
Depends...?
Maybe you can give more specifics.0 -
Heck, I started to get a lot stronger with fewer injuries when I started to take my rest days seriously. My endurance and strength increased faster if I took every other day off.
Adjust your calories accordingly.2 -
Rest days from calorie counting or working out?0

I have 6 resting days - I ride my horse once a week. Most weeks. I've lost 90lbs.0

I rest 2-3 days a week. I prefer it I'm order to recover my body AND have time for other stuff.
All you need to lose weight is a caloric deficit anyways. Sometimes people achieve this by working out, some times it back fires and increases appetite too much.0 -

I rest 3 days...and do no cardio.0

You can rest 7 days a week and still lose. 90% of weight loss is in the kitchen. I've lost >40 lbs since Jan and only do some light walking.1

After I had my second baby I worked out 2-3x per week (lifting no cardio), if I was lucky.0

I do 3 day a week heavy full body weightlifting workout. Rest days are important because that's when your muscles heal, grow and get stronger.
You don't have to exercise to lose weight. Weight loss is all about calories. But if you DO exercise, then yes, rest days are important for muscle recovery, whether you do weights or cardio or whatever.0
