So I've started crossfit and my trainer told me to eat more. My issue is that I don't ever hardly eat. Maybe 1 meal a day. That's only because I honestly am never hungry. BUT, being told that not eating can make you gain weight bothers me. Any advice on training my body to eat more??

Make it a habit, set meal times with your meal already planned out.

Perhaps you should expand and explain your comment that "not eating can make you gain weight", I'd guess they were implying it could lead to binge eating.

Not eating doesn't cause weight gain. Besides, you are eating. But if you want to eat more for whatever reason substitute higher calorie foods for those you already eat. Then gradually add in more foods.

But if you have so much trouble eating you belong on the gaining weight forum, not the weight loss forum. You'd probably get better info there.

There is no way not eating causes weight gain - otherwise no one would die from starvation and some scientists would be very interested in how we created something (weight) from nothing.

Plenty of people only eat one large meal a day and if that works for you, don't fight it.

The only time only eating once a day can cause weight gain is if you can't cope with it and end up binging instead.
