trusting my fitbit...

obviously the fitbit one isn't 100% accurate, but today it told me that after walking 4+ miles i have burned 2117 calories today and that my exercise calories in MFP are 453. which means after eating about 1580 calories today, i have 170 left to eat from fitbit's calculations! up until now i have tried to underestimate my exercise calories and i'm wary to trust fitbit and eat any more.. but that means from now on i will probably get stuck in a deficit on MFP! i'm not losing any weight at the moment, but because of these calculations and my tendency to underestimate exercise calories i'm wondering if my plateau has been caused by not eating enough... any thoughts?

I use the bodymedia fit and today (Wednesday) it said I burned 2533 total and earned 676 extra exercise calories to eat back. I walked/jogged 4.5 miles today which is my normal exercise when I get it in and this is the average calorie burn on a day when I get my walk in. So I'd say your fitbit is pretty accurate for a 4+ mile walk.0
