Planning a cheat day?

So I've never liked the idea of cheat days, but with my 21st birthday coming up, I really want to be able to enjoy it... My original goal was to lose 100 in a year and then take my time with the last of the weight (will probably be another year and a half to lose that) been averaging around 2lbs a week, leaving me with 18lbs to goal and 14 weeks left to do it, so very do able... Now I don't want to completely stall my progress that week, so if I were to eat at my normal 1000 calories deficit the rest of the week, could that mean id be able to eat up to 2500 calories over maintenance and still lose a pound that week? Not intending to go that high over maintenance, but would be nice not to worry about logging and be able to eat at a restaurant or some birthday cake, and a birthday drink of course.

Yes you can look at your calorie goal for the week. Some people will save some extra calories during the week for a bit of a splurge. Have a happy birthday!

Yep look at your calorie goal for the week and see what is worth it for you. You have lots of options-1 pound, .5 lbs, 1.5, maintenance! Enjoy yourself. And don't think of it as a cheat, think of it as a celebration and get back on track the next day :)
