The best tip is to recalculate your calories after every 5-10 pounds lost, as you won't be burning as much anymore and your deficit will have decreased. And depending on how much you have to lose, you'll need to lower the deficit itself as you get closer to your goal (half a pound a week for your final 10-15 pounds) and then update your profile to maintenance when you reach your goal.

If you stick with 1600 after goal, you would keep losing until that becomes your maintenance.

Like pp said, you need to adjust your calories every few pounds lost. And then when you decide to start maintenance you'll re-run your info and chose 'maintain' instead of lose .5, 1lb etc. Also be aware that you'll have a maintenance weight range and not a set number. This is because your weight fluctuates daily, due to all sorts of things not fat related. Many chose a 5lb range. So for example-I'm in maintenance and my weight range is 125lbs-130lbs. If it starts to creep above 130lbs, and stays there for more then a few days, then I tighten things up until I get back down below 130lbs.
