That's all it takes? A little dirty talk and you open your mouth? I bet you make someone very happy3

Food is lovely. Food is life.
I think perhaps the problem is that we don't linger long enough over our meals, to be fully in the moment, absorbing all the scents, textures, and flavours of the meal.
Like, say, a perfectly prepared medallion of filet mignon. One is enough.
Don't we deserve these moments of pleasure?1 -

I had steak for dinner in a nice steakhouse, it was cooked perfectly. Medium rare. Yum! Good food and company, it doesn't get any better than that.2

I hear you. I have had a love affair with food since my mid-teens when I got my first job in a restaurant. In the years since i have become quite an accomplished cook. I am a super-taster and a super-smeller, and I have a highly developed sense of pairing flavors and scents.
Even though I have worked in the telecom and IT fields since the early 80s, I have been motivated to feed people. I love applause, so mostly I love to create something and watch someone eat it and hear them say, "Damn! This is dee-LISH-ous!!"
I have heard a small voice in my head telling me I am in the wrong business for over 30 years!
So yeah...long-term relationship, for sure...not a whiner, though, usually...
Add me if you want to trade recipes and vicarious thrills.0 -

I prefer people. Animals are too hairy for me.0 -
food is fuel, but why not enjoy it - there is a time and place for enjoyment and for treating it seriously1

I've never trusted anyone that my pets didn't warm to. They just know.
And a grilled steak is one of life's pleasures. Enjoy!1 -
I agree, I eat to survive. It's not at the top of my list either.0
