how much is your electric bill usually?

$60 - $450 usually. Much higher in the summer than the winter, living in a desert and all. Three bedroom house with cathedral ceilings (I regret this decision now, good thing we're leaving).
I just had to learn to suck it up and deal without the heater and the A/C as much as I used to. Not so bad once I adapted.0 -
Mine averaged $11 a month the previous 12 months.
I live in a small apartment. I travel several days a month. I don't have A/C. I live in a warmer climate so use my electric heat about 1 month out of the year. My state gives a fairly generous rebate to those who have low electric usage and I qualify. I had to pay a bill 5 months out of last year; the other 7 months were covered by the rebate.0 -

Do you really set it around 70? that would be $1000+ a month bill for me!

Ditto here.. and my house isn't even that large. I think 78 is what I set it at in the summer. Still hot, but bearable most days.0 -
2300 sq ft house in a relatively warm region (think 2-week+ streaks of 100 degree days in the summer). Highest bill last year was $246. Lowest was $72 (gas heat). We're not particularly energy-conscious (ie, my spouse wants to stay comfortable no matter what, and if that means turning on the AC in February, he'll do it! )0

My house is 4200 square foot and I have automated thermostats for the two units (upstairs and downstairs). During the summer the house is around 82 during the day when no one is home, around 78 mornings and evening, but 75 at night for sleeping 8p to 7am.

Necessity, I guess?
Honestly, I'm the only one who works from home, so I'm here all day and get quite cold. It seriously gets below 70 and I go and put on a jacket or long sleeve shirt, lol.0 -
120 for an itty bitty 2 bedroom in nyc0

Electricity is also cheap or about 15$ or 1200 isk per month.
We have geothermal heating in our home here.
I have no idea what the electric bill is monthly though since it's not paid by us.0 -

No. In a house.0 -

I remember living in a studio apartment long time ago with a bill this nice!
It depends on the season. Milder temps run the a/c less, colder fall/winters run the heat more.
In the summer it's close to $90-95 with the A/C running.0 -
I live in Scotland and pay about £300 a month for gas and electric, same amount every month cos it never really gets 'hot' in Scotland0

I pay about £130 every three months.0

800sf apartment 70-90, and we are electric heat so that includes "gas" (which we obviously don't have)0

During the summer in AZ average temps are over 110 degrees so walking into 79 degree is perfect. During the winter the house generally stays around 68 degrees and I rarely have to run anything, though I do have the heat kick on if it gets lower than 65 to take the edge off back to 68-70.0 -
Small house here: 1200/sq. ft. (to provide electricity to). Winter, no AC: $80-120-ish. Summer: $250-300.0
-
Average of about $2500
-
Around $65 when it's not summer. Around $120 in the summer.1

I'm not sure...well I just got into town about an hour ago.0 -
I own my two bedroom house, and my bill is averaged. It runs between $225-$275 at the most. That includes natural gas and electricity. Apartments around my area average closer to $100-$125/mo. Those prices are with AC on in the summer and heat in the winter. Honestly in my area there are very few days you won't have one or the other running. Maybe a couple of weeks in the spring where no AC or heat is needed, and a couple in the fall, but other than that it's heat or AC.1

Electric $200, Water $50, Sewer $50, Garbage $35. Electric can double in winter months. 4,000 sq house in a rural winter wasteland.0
