Would you rather...

Would you rather be in very good shape (less than 15% body fat, excellent cardiovascular condition, good muscular development) BUT have a sidelining injury that projected recovery was 12-16 weeks or more depending on physical therapy?

OR...

Would you rather be in very poor shape (35% plus body fat, easily out of breathe, poor muscular development) BUT be completely injury free and able to begin working out immediately with authorization from your medical doctor?

Assume all other conditions for both scenarios above are the same for comparison sake...both have access to same diet, exercise, weather, time constraints, etc.

    The first.

Recovery would be a pain but 12-16 weeks is nothing. In Scenario 2 it would take years to get to a spot like Scenario 1.

    First option.

I've broke my elbow due to parkour before, shoulder was injured for 16weeks and now I'm at 12-13% bodyfat, 72-75kg, feeling great and regret nothing. besides all the benefits and ability to show off.

In short, this journey is really worth to begin and devote yourself into.

First option. Strength stays through a smartly planned rehab process.

    Third option, neither.

This. I get cabin fever if I am stuck indoors

    Neither!!

But I've been in both situations and if I had to do it again, would probably go with the first.

How is this a real question?

First, and I'd likely tell the PT to go screw himself if they suggested the usual useless *kitten* of three-pound dumbbells and ergometer bikes.
