Kendrick Lamar's Humble is good stuff. Kodak Black's Tunnel Vision is on par.

Oh and you gotta have Vince Staples' War Ready.

The only good Rap is the original stuff from the 70s, 80s, Kurtis Blow & The Sugar Hill Gang.

And Eminem aka Slim Shady ;)

I'll just drop a few gems and try to cover all bases in terms of different styles of rap. some of these will be recent and some a few years past.

If you're a fan of that 90's boom bap New York lyrical style then check out

Joey Bada$$-B4 Da $$= This album has Wu Tang Clan written all over it. Listen to tracks like No 99, Christ Conscious and On & On

Blu & Exile-Below The Heavens= This has a really soulful boom bap sound to it, tracks to check out would be Simply Amazin, Dancing In The Rain, Soul Amazin

Barrel Brothers (Skyzoo & Torae)=Both of them have really good solo projects by themselves as well as being in a group. Listen to Talk Of The Town, Memorabilia, Triangle offense

If you want something that's really content driven with a message

Oddisee-The Iceberg=This has a real jazzy sound to it, lots of instrumentation. Listen to Waiting Outside, Digging Deep, Rain Dance

Mick Jenkins-The Healing Component=Has a real spacious atmospheric feel to it. Listen to Strange Love, Love Robert Horry & Fall Through

Brother Ali-The Beauty In This Whole Life=This album just came out and I honestly havent even heard a lot of it but if it's anything like his other works I Know its good

If you want something with more of a main stream accessible sound without sacrificing too much in terms of lyrics or content then check out

Big Krit- He can do club tracks, introspective tracks and pretty much anything in between. Check out Meditate, Mt Olympus, The Vent, Me And My Old School

Logic- Hes like a mini hybrid Of J Cole & Kendrick which can be a good thing and a bad thing. From him I'd say listen to Buried Alive, Nikki, Young Jesus & Paradise

Kendrick Lamar-Just listen to his last album Damn. it's a bit of a heavy listen but it's pretty good.

Lupe Fiasco-Whatever you do dont listen to Drogas Light, that album was terrible. But some of his project before that are fair game. His sound has lately gotten easy on the ears but he's still probably one of the best wordsmiths. Tetsuo & Youth was a really good album as well as The Cool

And most of all don't forget the legends. People dont check for them but some of the old groups from way back when are still out putting out quality music. A Tribe Called Quest put out a really good project last year. Dudes like Raekwon and Ghostface from Wu Tang are still active and putting out projects, actually Raekwon released another album this year. People like Redman are still putting albums, Dilated Peoples, De La Soul etc...

There's a ton of good music out there.
