Lost the Weight, Gained the Weight, Support and Motivation need to ditch it again.

In college I lost a solid 50 lbs, which was awesome. As life changed and I moved into a sedentary desk job, I started to gain weight. Next thing I knew I was 80 lbs. heavier, my feet and knees, hurt, and I look awful in all of my clothes (probably because they are all a size too small).
In January I started the long journey to get those pounds back off, and so far, I've knocked 20 of the 80 back off. (that's 25% of them, not too shabby!) But now I'm struggling to get back on the "diet train" and make real, substantial life changes. I need support, and tips to get back on track.
Some days I am very optimistic and others I am angry at myself for gaining everything back. Other days I remember all of the life events that pushed me to gain that extra weight and I remember why I put weight loss on the back burner. It's simply a frustrating situation.

You'd probably be surprised how many of us have gone through that, or are going through that. I liken losing weight to quitting smoking. Chances to start again are high, but each time you quit/diet, you are more likely to make it a permanent change.
I also like to use the word momentum a lot. If you're having trouble getting on or staying on the diet track.... push yourself on. In a way, that's the only way. But once you're doing it and you have the momentum it's easier to keep pushing in that direction. If you fall off.... all you can do is push yourself until you're back on.
Last thing I'll suggest is making sure you do some low intensity cardio (specifically walking in nice weather if possible!) almost daily if you're not already. Desk jobs are rough on our bodies, and the light cardio will help you build back your knees and your core strength so you feel a little stronger and healthier.0
