Sesamoiditis. Looking for advice

I've been diagnosed with Sesamoiditis. Basically it's an inflammation, soreness of 2 small bones at the base of the big toe. It's currently giving me quite a bit of pain when I try to do lunges or any exercise that puts pressure at the base of the big toe & when the toe gets bent upwards. I also drive for a living so there's not much chance of it getting a lot of rest as it's my right foot.

What I'm looking for is any advice from people that have used a support that fits inside the shoe to support & pad it whilst exercising or for daily, general wear. Any particular makes/brands of support that are good or ones that I should stay clear of.

Really appreciate any advice given.

Ouch. Fractured my left sesamoid a few years back and that was no fun. My podiatrist sold me the Power Step original insoles for arch support. Support was lacking in my shoes leading to extra pressure on the sesamoid. They were ok... I think time and rest was what helped the most. I got into Pilates a lot more during this time.
