Every day is an adventure for me and I want to know am I the only person this shyt happens to?

Yesterday, I came home to my daughter being pissed that the dog tore up her bedroom, a special poster her friends made and ate part of her cupcake :grumble:

Last night on the way home from the gym I was exiting the highway and it was a big azz possum in the middle of the road that I couldn't avoid hitting.... Ugggh, all I could think about was the brains and stuff splattered underneath my car...

and My whole team called off work yesterday, one lady said she wanted to complete a bucket list with her dog before she had to euthanize her, the other lady had a HS graduation to go to (on a Thursday) and the other had a migraine, etc....

Got up, went to work, did work, got home, bought groceries, cooked my dinner, ate my dinner, did my exercise, cooked my wife's dinner, wound down reading news and watching baseball. Party at Napoli's. Same shyt, different day.

Wednesday night I was driving on the interstate with my daughter and three of her friends. It was dark. Of the three lanes, I was in the middle and a truck with a trailer was in the left hand lane. All of the sudden, a COUCH comes FLYING out of the trailer and into my lane. Thankfully I was far enough behind that I was able to swerve to avoid hitting the couch, but in my panic I didn't even check to see that the left lane was clear...I just swerved. Thank God there wasn't a car in that lane. My adrenaline pumped for a good 15 mins afterwards and my whole body was shaky most of the way home. :#

Scary as hell! And of course with girls in the car there was lots of screaming haha
I told them, this situation is kinda like being struck by lightning or winning the lottery, they shouldn't have it happen again for the rest of their lives! Ha!

The live action one with Scarjo. After the first 30 minutes it became a chore just to finish it. It was terribly boring.

I forgot it was out until you mentioned it. My experience with movies is if you don't hear about it after the first week it's probably a dud. Sadly I'll still have to watch it at some point, as I watch all the Ghost in the Shells.

@Cerealsensei I was so close to watching this last night on my Fire Stick. Is it scary or not good? I just saw your response. Thanks for the heads up!

Don't do it. After the first ten minutes everything just gets really bland and after awhile you don't even know what you're watching anymore.

Oh Eww. Dead animals on the road always get to me. I fortunately have never had to go over one.
    My story: Strange
I was walking around the city yesterday when some upper middle aged man honked his horn at me. I ignore all honks when I'm out and about, but this man persistently honked again, so I looked over and he was angrily making gestures and mouthing something. Idk if he was trying to tell me to get into his car or if it was another thing, but when I looked away he drove off. I'm an extremely cautious pedestrian since drivers are notoriously careless where I live, so I'm sure I didn't do anything to inconvenience his driving. Perhaps he was just crazy.

Oh! Also on Wednesday I was driving downtown and pulled up to a red light. I was on a one way so there were three lanes and I was in the left lane. The person in the car to my right honked his horn and I cautiously rolled down my window. (I'm very untrusting of people downtown sometimes).

He said "I'm looking for Tittiesville, it's supposed to be on 4th Ave". I thought he was joking because what the hell kinda place is Tittiesville but a made up one?

So I paused waiting for him to laugh or something. He didn't so I just said "You're on 4th." rolled my eyes and drove off.

Our 10-year-old woke up in the middle of the night with a tummyache and came into our room. Which is fine. But for some unknown reason, he used a flashlight (believe me, our house isn't that dark - he doesn't need a flashlight.) So I woke up at 1:00 a.m. to a flashlight in my face, and of course, I couldn't actually see when I opened my eyes - total blindness. I went from dead asleep to 100% adrenaline in .8 seconds - I was sure there was an intruder coming into our room to murder us.

I realized what was going on pretty quickly and took care of the kid (who is totally fine - he just needed to go to the bathroom) and I barely slept the rest of the night - the fight or flight thing was just too much for me to relax again.

I just saw the possum I hit "still" in the middle of the road... eek. Poor thing. I don't want to have to keep reliving that moment...the city needs to pick that up....geesh

DW asked me to inflate her bike tire, I overdid it and inner tube BLEW!

On way home from bike repair shop I decided to back in my drive way to unload her bike from my truck. Missed drive way and ran over some decorative light!

DW came home and told me our kitten Otis knocked the bowl I put two eggs in off the kitchen counter!

And is was NOT Friday the 13th!

I had gone to the corner mart to buy some stuff and noticed these two guys waiting in line behind me. They yelled whenever they said anything. They looked like father and son and argued about buying cigarettes.

After I had paid, I slowly headed for the door and heard the father yell at the cashier "you're a liar!"

I thought everything was fine after I made it to my car but no. I lock my door in time to see the two guys charge out of the store and hop into there neglected truck. They backed up and then dove forward (only to open the passenger door while the truck was moving) so they could yell at an employee walking into the store. They drove off after that.

My daughter had fraud on her card - someone was in San Fran shopping away. She is only 18 and works hard for her money.;.... she asked me for money for my Mother's Day gift. She was so mad!
