Eating WIth Insomnia??

I am just wondering what everyone thinks on this issue. I have never suffered from insomnia before, and honestly, used to roll my eyes when people complained about it, but lately, insomnia has been kicking my *kitten*! I haven't been able to fall asleep at nigh and usually get up at 4 am for my ten hour shift, but lately I have been getting up and just going into work early, so I can come home earlier and sleep a little then, rather than lying in bed wasting time, when I can't sleep anyway. So here is my question...If I am up for 36 hours straight, do I eat extra because I am up an moving, or fast as if I was sleeping as usual? The only reason I ask is out of curiosity. Normally, I wake up hungry, but after drinking a cup of coffee and taking my BCAAs, my appetite goes away and doesn't return until the time I am accustomed to eating my first meal, which is 10 am. So, I am up for 6 hours after sleeping for 6-7 hours, so I am getting a 14 hour fast normally. Well, with this insomnia and going into work when I should be sleeping, I have been hungry all night. I tried keeping my eating schedule the same, but was starving even afer my coffee, a few liters of water and my BCAAs. So, I will actually take in an extra 400-600 calories by eating during this time. Thoughts? I'm just curious what everyone thinks of this. Thanks!
