Outdoor Bootcamp

I am trying to decide as I have been on the fence for months. They offer 2 sessions locally one is 5:30 in the morning which is the one I would go to. What types of things do you do ?

Anything and everything. As daunting as that sounds, it is amazing. I did one for 6 months and the pounds fell off of me. From short runs (we ran for not more than 5 mins at a pace that worked for each individual) from location to location outside, but some bootcamps stay in one place.

Then, at each location our instructor would turn a normal city block (sidewalks, buildings, nothing unusual) into a fitness are - three stairs into a building became inclined planks, a bench became prime location for dips, larger staircases became 5-10 minute drills, a low wall became box jumps...and hills, there were always hills (run/walk up forward, shuffle up it backwards, two-legged jump up it, etc.) ... you get the picture.

You will never be bored, you will be v-e-r-y sore after the first couple times, but you it will go away and results will be excellent so long as you're eating right and going 3xs week (I averaged 3-4, also at 5:30 am). If you're starting cold, talk to the instructor first. I'm 100% confident you will be able to handle it, but it's always nice to have a conversation first to let them know that you're new and might need modifications to certain exercises as you get up and running. Good luck!

I did an outdoor boot camp couple summers ago with a friend of mine. She needed the support so I tagged along with her. Mostly did running, pull ups, sit ups, crunches and they tested our tolerance with pain when each of us got into a bucket of very cold water and the instructor would tell us to go under water 10 times. If our instructor see that our entire head is not underwater, we'd have to start over so if I dunked my head correctly 5 times and didn't do it the 6th time, it resets to 0. It was tough, but able to get through it quite well and was actually refreshing because the day of the bootcamp, it was hotter than hell.
