Hello all, 40+ Male looking to lose 30 lbs

Hi everyone. My name is Chris. I am 5'10 and 214lbs. I have been doing the myfitnesspal thing off and on for a couple years. I workout daily but have not been able to break the 200 lb plateau. I fluctuate right now between 210 and 215. At my heaviest, I was 235 and at my lightest 201 (in the last 10 years that is). While I was counting calories before, I don't think I was doing so very accurately. I am now weighing and measuring everything and trying to keep a 500 cal deficit. I am hoping to finally break free and drop to my target weight of 185.
