Not emotional (whoddathunk... ) but this is a carryover thought from my blog

On your "off" days from working out, what do you do? For me, an "off" day is not truly an off day...I still try and move around, ya know? For me, it's at least a 30min walk or some yoga.

What do you do?

I thought today was my off day when I woke up....I was planning on going swimming, then I realized I have to go walk/jog instead.

My main form (and favorite) exercise is running, but I know I need to balance it out (which I do with walking/yoga/biking/lifting/circuit training) So if I have a typical workout week, I already will have a day that is just walking or yoga, but I will usually have 1 complete rest day.

Although, if I'm being truthful, that rest day is because I am feeling lazy more than anything else

Today is my off day. I don't like my off days because I feel I should be doing something. I do take my daily 40 minute walk. And if I get to feeling really guilty, I will go outside and do some landscaping or gardening, perhaps swim a couple laps.
  • Now I dont "technically" take "off" days yet either....most of the time when i'm resting etc from working out, I go swimming which is an actual work out in itself; however, the day that I do choose to rest is normally a weekend because I dont work and I dont do alot of strenuous anything but watch lifetime lol...

    however,

i normally go swimming so the kids can have fun and I find myself working out in the pool.

I figured out I can't have an off day because I can't stay within my 1200 calories on that day without starving so I workout to eat more  I do something lighter though than my hard days.

My 2 primary forms of exercise are running & yoga.

A completely off day from either of those could range from going out to dinner, eating bad & drinking beer to a long hike thru the woods burning tons of calories. And ANYthing in between.
