Hello friends. I absolutely love adding salt to my meals, for example:rice, meat, soup. My sodium intake is to high though so I'm wondering if anybody knows of a good substitute that will still satisfy that salt craving.

So long as it's in balance with the other electrolytes, I wouldn't worry about the salt. You could experiment with different types of seaweed though. You may be able to flavor food to your taste with seaweed while consuming a lesser amount of sodium. Check out dulse flakes. Or use a salt that contains trace minerals, such as Real Salt. You might find that you don't need to use as much.

I need to limit it for medical reasons. Acids like vinegar or lemon juice help. So do some herbs, like garlic and chives, or blends. There also are salt substitutes made from potassium, or MSG.

Pretty much... I'd just make sure you focus on potassium and magnesium as well.

Has a doctor told you to limit salt, or are you just basing this on MFP's warnings? Because their setting is the usda recommendation, which research seems to indicate is far too low. In fact a sodium intake as low as the one currently recommended was associated with higher risks of death than higher intake.

The research is not complete on that.

And it should be noted that foods typically high in salt, are also generally ultra processed. But people who are active need more salt, and salt isn't a cause of many diseases. But limiting is part of a treatment.

Generally speaking excess sodium issues aren't really a matter of salting your food but rather eating a lot of processed foods and restaurant food.
