Someone please explain to me how all of this works lol plain and simple...

A friend told me that only a portion of the protein listed on nutritional facts is taken into your body based on the amount of carbs and fiber included in foods as well...how true is this and what is the proportion?

If i eat a protien bar with 13g of protien...I think that's what I'm getting.

Please and thanks

You won't absorb 100 % of the nutrients in pretty much anything you eat. You won't know exactly what %, either.

But we're majoring in the minors. If your goal is weight loss (and I assume it is because of where you posted this), you'll achieve it by having a calorie deficit.

Protein, carbs, and fiber are all important for your body. So are fats. Eating a balanced diet is a good way to meet all of your nutrient needs.
