I wish there were a way of logging excess lifestyle activity

I wish MFP had a way of logging a temporary change in activity of lifestyle for those times you're doing something out of the ordinary. Last week I couldn't get to the pool because I was decorating. I managed to decorate my living room, dining room and kitchen all in 7 days. 6 - 8 hours per day, up the steps, down the steps, up the steps, paint rollering, moving furniture, sanding and cleaning including putting new curtains up. I was simply dead on my feet by the end of the 7 days and there was no way I could have gone to the pool. But I know by how exhausted I was I must have burnt loads of calories. Just wish there were a way of counting them.

You could have just raised your activity level for those 7 days.

    Log it as cleaning

This ... there's an entry for housework.

The one time I've used it, I was unpacking after moving into our house ... lots of lifting and carrying and walking and cleaning. I spent about 4 hours one evening on my feet doing all that, and logged it as 1 hour's worth of housecleaning. :)
