Is it okay to go over calories every once and awhile?

I had a cheat meal. I didnt eat much calories through out the day. But tonight I ate 4 slices of pizza & ended up being 400 calories over.

Yep, absolutely fine!! If your daily deficit is 500, you didn't even eat at maintenance. Learning that one meal isn't going to derail your whole week is really important. That's barely even going to cause a blip in your weight loss, other than maybe some water weight for the next day or two.
I also recommend not thinking of this as cheating. You had a day at maintenance, good for mind and body.2 -
For me...yes it's ok. I eat at a larger deficit throughout the week and a smaller or no deficit or even a mild surplus on the weekends (restaurant food) and still maintain a loss week to week0
