Been getting back into it lately, might have to progress to a pvc pipe soon as my IT band doesn't hurt any more when I roll it.0

I have two... and I try to roll at least twice a week- but I kind of hate it- so I'm bad at it.... it HURTS SO BAD!!!! LOL0

I started to use a lacrosse balls to. It amazes me how much these things can help out your posture.0

my foam roller hurts- that LAX ball is going to seriously kick my *kitten*.0 -
I've never done this. I just use my dog's toys to work out knots :[0

I have been told to get a foam roller for exactly this reason....I apparently have an anterior pelvic tilt.
What types of stretches would be the best for me do you think?0 -
I use a rumble roller
for really digging in, i'll set a barbell around waist height and roll on that.
also use lacross balls.0 -
I have a Trigger Point and admittedly am horrible about using it. Trying to get better in that department.0

Awww the beautiful pain0

I have one and am really bad about using it too, even though I need to.
To the person who asked - you can buy them at Target, Walmart, anywhere like that. I found mine in the exercise equipment department.0 -
i don't use it everyday but i have calves issues and i use it as soon as pain starts to come back...and boom! it's gone!0

What's your difficulty with it?0 -
i was told by a trainer at the gym to giveit a try to stretch my back that was sore. Wow oh wow!! First thing, my back cracked like bubble wrap. I am a large fella and the weight of my belly and suspenders pulling puts stress on the back and it becomes compressed. This was amazing to have it crack and loosen up so much. It felt wonderful! So guess I am gonna hvae to go and pick one up for the house.0

Hurts so good!!!!
This, have a Rumble Roller, love it. Don't use it as much as I should though.0 -
Definitely need to start using mine more.0

I got mine at Walmart in the sports section0

I read about them in New Rules of Lifting Supercharged and finally grabbed one out of the corner of the stretch area in my gym. Makes a world of difference! I use one after every lifting session it almost totally eliminates soreness that night and the morning after. Although rolling out my quads after squat day does look like a scene from Skinamax... minus the bad musak0

I've been stalling to get one because all the ones I see are $30+... but I need one so bad for my hip flexors0
-
I've tried it a few times and got nothing from it. The one I have now just takes up space. But then again the fact that a professional masseuse has not been able to do anything for me either should probably have been an indicator that a foam roller definitely wouldn't.0

This. I just discovered foam rollers and I use it after every lift session and it is amazing. And completely agree with the rolling out quads. I was doing it at the gym last night and I'm pretty sure the guy next to me was scared to look over at me because he had no idea what I was doing.0 -
Me! My legs get a battering from running/HIIT/circuit training so it really helps to iron out the knots! Soooo painful sometimes though!0
-
I really need to start doing this, one of my verts in my T-spine is out of place. I have been trying to find a good one to use any suggestions?0

Love my foam roller. I got mine from Amazon and it has a piece of PVC pipe in the middle surrounded by foam, it holds it shape really well.
I also use a tennis ball to get the knots out from under my scapula, works great.0 -
Foam roller, lacrosse balls (it helps to have 2 available for some muscles), and voodoo bands. All amazing for tissue prehab/rehab.0

There is no pain like foam rolling quads a day or two after high rep squats.0
