So yesterday I went to see an endocrinologist and he said that I should not take anymore insulin. According to Dr the insulin does not help me loose weight. I am on a 100g of carb daily and I now take Metformin ER 500mg. So I decided to go on a vegetarian diet. I so excited about my new goals.

It's going to be hard to stick to 100g of carbs on a vegetarian diet.
What are you trying to achieve by going vegetarian?

I would listen to the endo and not try to Frankenstein together two greatly different ways of eating. No need to make things more difficult than necessary.

Generally for diabetes, high protein and low carb will work best to lower blood sugar. It is hard to get a lot of protein as a vegetarian without eating a lot of carbs.
