How many mg of sodium should I have a day to lose weight? I've already lost a fair amount but I'm onto the last 10 ish pounds and they're harder to lose. I want to ensure sodium is not causing permanent water retention .. thank you!

Sodium doesn't control fat loss. It can MASK it if you consume too much, but that should only be temporary.0

Between 1500 - 2300 mg is the recommended intake of sodium a day. 1500 mg of sodium amounts to 0.75 teaspoons or 3.75 grams of salt per day, while 2300 mg amounts to one teaspoon or 6 grams of salt per day.
However, meeting this goal won't help you lose weight unless it somehow helps you restrict your calories. It could be healthy in other ways though.0
