Super spartan race Utah 2017 (And others)

Hello, My name is Jeremy. I just registered for my first spartan race, yes it's a super. I have lost 45 lbs from my heaviest. My goal is to lose 20 more lbs by the race on August 5th. Anyone else planning on attending? I have been playing basketball 6 days a week for cardio and some strength training, but I am now incorporating other workouts too (pushups, curls, burpees, grippers) and looking for some ideas to train for this bad boy. Feel free to add me as a friend and give suggestions on how to Train.

    You're not doing any running and that looks like a pretty important part of the race! Basketball is cardio, but it does not train your body to run as you'll need to.

    They have a training program for free on the Spartan site. That's probably your best place for the best race-specific advice.
