Importing a recipe and the nutritional info is all wrong

I'm just starting back up with using my Fitness Pal and imported one recipe I enjoy and know it is low cal etc etc but the recipe once imported, from the Cooking light website, listed it as having 3000 + calories (feta cheese for 1tbsp - came in at 2450 cal). This is discouraging to me, scares me that other recipes I import will come up with Very wrong Calorie counts. Arg

Didi you get the number of servings correct? Did all the ingredients match? Did all the quantities of all the ingredients match?1

You have to check that each ingredient matches up properly. Sometimes it just does a bad match, or mis-matches the amount. I usually do it on the desktop rather than my phone, if possible. It's much easier.2

I use the recipe import a lot, I also log my own recipes.
Many times you need to look up for ingredients and serving manually.
Other then that I find it very useful.0 -
You have to double check every single ingredient. It often uses inaccurate entries or things that have nothing to do with the item in question sometimes.0

When you import, scan the calories for each ingredient. Occasionally you will find one that is insanely off like your 2450 calorie feta. When you see that, just click replace on that item and search it and use a feta cheese that has the correct nutrition.
Like there's garlic powder in quite a few recipes I've imported, but for some reason, the default entry for garlic powder comes up as 2,000 calories for 1 tsp. LOL I just replace it and move on.
The lesson, never import a recipe and just save it. Always import and then check all the ingredients. Just a quick scan looking at the calories will let you catch problems.1
