BMI

I'm in the normal weight BMI now (BMI 19.5) yet I still look like a need to lose another 10-14 lbs. I have a lot of fat, which although I had hoped I'd have lost by this point, hasn't gone. Should I disregard BMI altogether and continue to lose weight, or should I try to exercise my way to a better body? Is that even possible?

I wouldn;t keep losing, while you may have higher bodyfat, if you lack the muscle you will cut down and really just look a smaller version of your current self. So I would also recommend recomp. Essentially you want to eat at maintenance and lift. Check out this thread for more info.

Thanks, I'll check it out. I still want to lose a few pounds, but I do think I need to join the gym next month after Ramadan and start strength training. Got a long way to go yet!0

At a 19.5 BMI, you really don't have much weight to lose. Recomping is a much better choice.1
