8 hour diet vs MyFitnessPal

A friend of mine has been very successful on the 8 hour. I am not familiar. How does it compare with MFP ?
I cant see where it would improve your health or be good for you

    I don't know about anyone else..but If I'm allowed to eat ANYTHING for 8 hours a day I can very easily do over my 1830 maintainence goal and lose weight.

    Heck...I've been at work for 5.5 hours and I've already consumded 1230.

    Intermittent fasting does work really well for some people, for convenience sake, or because they like fewer larger meals.

    Ultimately, the calorie deficit is what works for EVERY diet or style of eating. So if eating only in an 8 hour period helps you accomplish that, then that's what works for you. If you overeat in any matter of hours, you won't lose weight.

    Can do both. MFP doesn't tell you when to eat.

    8 hour diet is like IF? I've been doing IF for months.
