just came in the mail yesterday from the amazon fairies...chased the boys out of the house and plugged it in thinking i would breeze through day one since i am over a month into my "new routine"...30-60 minutes of cardio several times a week, resistance & strength training etc...
uuuummmm hell to the no! those little cardio bursts were hard! by the end, i was panting & sweat was dripping. my abs were WAY more sore this morning than they usually are even after "ab day" at the gym. i thought i was really working hard every morning but maybe i have been phoning it in after all, or whatever it is she said on the dvd...
anyway my month membership is almost up & while it has given me a good habit of getting up & moving my butt, im considering breaking up with them for a while & trying this 30 ds combined with jogging and the stationary bike i have at home. kind of leary because i have lost inches (almost 9) and 7 pounds since i started (july 1). dont want to see progress stall or stop. any thoughts from those that are more than one day into this?

It gets easier! Just keep going and soon those moves will be nothing for you. It's a great, effective work out and it challenges you, which is key to seeing change.
I can manage the cardio and abs...I struggle with the strength part.
4 years ago I did the Shred for the first time using 2 lb weights. I took tons of breaks the first few days and got winded during the warm up!
Fast forward to now. I just had a baby 7 months ago and am starting again, and I'm using 5 - 7 lb weights. It's still hard, but I can handle it.

It gets easier.
I rotate through a few of her workout dvd's. 30ds is a good one but my favorite (after you get a little more used to it) is Shred it with weights. kettlebell workout. It's amazing. Thanks to Jillians videos I have already lost 18lbs. Now to get the rest off!
good luck! I know you'll get through it. And don't get discouraged, just do what she says and only take small 5 second breaks.0 -
The first day I did it I didn't even use weights. I'm currently using 3 lb weights and will be doing day 3 of level 2 tonight (day 13 overall). Last night I was dripping sweat AND I still took some breaks. This program is designed to push your limits.
My last day at level 1 was way easier than my first, and I could definitely tell I had grown stronger during those days. I'm starting to notice a difference in my arms and waist, although I don't want to take measurements yet. My pants aren't as snug and there's some definition forming in my arms.
ETA: Keep powering through! You won't feel as sore as today until you get to the next level.0
