Good stuff. That's the backbone of my business really... helping people to see the process rather than the end goal. Having goals is great... but results are born from repetitive behaviors and there's no getting around that.

    ^^ You are so right!

    Another of my favorite is

"one bad meal won't make fat, just like one good meal won't make you skinny"

Again, wise words. I always like to check that same perspective with my clients by bringing them back to the reality that there's 3,500 calories in one pound of fat. Theoretically, assuming every morsel of excess energy goes to fat, it would take 3,500 calories above their maintenance needs on a given day to gain one pound of fat. The reality would never work like this given factors such as the rate of digestion, the thermic effect of feeding, etc. But the point remains, you'd have to do some serious binging to make a dent in your fat stores.

Most people think they've blown their chances for the week or month simply bc they splurged and went 500 or even 1,000 over for a given day. Getting derailed by such drivel is the equivalent of starting a road trip only to turn around a few blocks from your house because you hit a bug with your windshield.

You are right!! I love the bug in windshield thing...

I am concentrating on eating right and in August I am joining a gym. I want to start weight training, even thinking about figure compettion, but we shall see... but I am mostly concentrating or what I can do to make that happen. ;)

Oh nice, I know quite a few figure competitors. Even trained a couple for smaller local shows. If you're not strength training now, I imagine you'll get some serious bang for your buck out of your physique once you start fully integrating that into your system.

No I have not strenght train seriously yet. I have done weights here and there but I really want to "get at it" been doing a lot of reading and I will be follwoing Jamie Eason's plan as a 'baseline" I can't really afford a trainer right now so I have to do with what I got ;)

Welp definitely don't need a trainer at the stage of the game you're at. If you do make it to a level where you think a coach would be in your best interest, I have a guy who's one of the best in the biz so hit me up.

Thank you so much! Yeah, I will hit you up with any questions or snags I have. I think I just really need to buckle down with the eating and protein intake, that's the hardest, I love working out!!

I am so excited, after much research and just really thought and buckling down I started my weight training. I am excited, it's been a month and even though I have not lost weight my clothes fit better and I get a thrill when I go and lift heavier than the day before!! You can do it, just set your mind to it!!
