I am 19 and weight 172lb. My doctor told me I need to lose around 20-30lbs. I have 62 days to lose this. I am wondering what my diet would have to look like and what my excercising would look like. I have weights so I can lift weights and I have a treadmill and bike. I can buy any foods required I am just looking for a guarantee in weight loss. I am motivated to do whatever it takes to lose the weight.

Why 62 days? It *might* be possible to take of 20 lbs, but it would be very unhealthy to try to do that in 2 months. I would definitely not attempt any more than that.

Did the doctor say you needed to lose the weight in 62 days? If yes, than you need to ask them.

If not, it's not healthy to lose weight that quickly. The most you should be aiming for no more than 2 lbs per week. Otherwise you risk losing muscle, malnutrition, and burnout.

Set your goal in mfp, it will give you a calorie goal. Eat those cals. Focus on getting plenty of healthy protein, fat, and veggies but also fit in some of the foods you love. Move more in whatever way you enjoy. Be realistic and patient :)

I lost 20 lbs in a month but I have about 80 total to lose. I cut out all junk food fried food and all soda. I only drink water. If you do those things you should see a difference.
