Okay..so I have found my new obsession for my sweet tooth and it is the Rainier Cherries. However I keep reading everywhere that fruits (sugar) are bad...well, maybe not that bad but that they are sugar regardless and shouldn't be eaten a lot.
Man...so which one is it? Can I have fruits anytime...or do I have to restricted them as well... I don't want to give up my new found yummy snack!
Help!

A single cherry can kill you. I've seen it happen in movies.0

I eat fruit all the time and it hasn't affected my weight loss. I just eat reasonable sized portions.0

As long as you're not eating 5000 calories worth of cherries everyday, you're fine.0

You can't just snack on fruit with abandon. I cherry has 1 gram of carbs from sugars. Eat more vegetables like bell peppers, tomatoes, etc. They are also sweet.0

they are not bad for you in fact they are good for you but they still have calories so you need to track them. Surprisingly some fruits add up really fast. I know they recommend 5 serving of fruit/vegetable's. Me personally, of those 5, I only have 1 fruit, at the most 2.0

Unless you have a medical reason to watch sugar you're probably fine. Unless you're eating enough fruit to negate your loss deficit or over maintenance I wouldn't worry too much.0

Grams of carbs from sugar don't matter when it comes to weight loss (provided you don't have a medical issue with sugars).
OP, eat your fruit. Sure, sugar is fruit is processed the same way as other sugars however fruit also has a lot of other nutrients. Provided you don't have a medical issue with sugar don't worry about it. I took sugar off what I track.0 -

Which I can do.
Just sayin'.0 -
Fruits are rarely bad for you. Yes they have natural sugar, but so do tomatoes and carrots. People get carried away with sugar consumption, but the "bad" kind of sugar is the kind found in pasta, white rice, etc. Your body metabolizes natural sugar much more effectively.0

I prefer Traverse City cherries, but all are good. Fruit is good for you, don't worry about the natural sugar, worry about refined white sugar in Pop-tarts and crap like that. I've been eating cherries, blueberries, raspberries, mangoes, bananas ,peaches, plums, strawberries, basically any fruit except apples, which I find boring. Still losing weight, no worries.0

Fruit is a great snack just make sure to rinse them well before eating. Don't want any pesticides to be ingested with them.0

Vegetables also have sugar. They also have vitamins and fiber, as do fruit. I don't think anything is really unhealthy in moderation, and pretty much everything is unhealthy if you eat too much of it.
I eat lots of fruit. I do try to stick to whole fruits though, as opposed to juices, just because the calorie concentration in juice is pretty high, and it isn't worth spending the calories on to me.0 -
I know we shoul eat a variety of foods... but my thought... UNLESS your eating cherries every day and thats all your eating.. odds are.. this phase will passs... just count them and your calories! If you eat your entire days worth in cherries... Well yum!0
